PONDER

Meaning is more important, but efficiency is necessary – motivation is so complex. Pondering . . . not so much about efficiency but about meaning.
I struggle . . . this is on my mind today.
Option 1: Planning and executing time – period before something happens and when it actually takes place – fascinating blend of resolve, planning, re-thinking, energizing, invigorating, motivating, de-motivating. Important, valuable . . . but an emotional maze.
Option 2: Alternatively, the spontaneous arrival of opportunity and intrigue – inspires, energizes, imagination thrives, fatigue falls away.
I’m wrestling between these alternatives – I have two projects I’m bogged down with that fit the first option, and every day I encounter ones that fit the second.
All projects are valuable – some intrinsically, some financially, some are fun.
I struggle with making the Option 1 projects more fun, more spontaneous.
I struggle with make the Option 2 projects more productive – to better judge which ones are truly worthwhile, which ones are just appearing to be that way but will disappoint.
I am not wrestling with duty/obligation issues or time-management ones, but happiness management ones . . .
It isn’t about working for fee, or for free, but about putting my shoulder to the wheel for the accomplishment of something valuable. Something I feel is valuable. Money is part of that, but not the primary motivator.
Productive?
Happier?

morning walk: 1C / 34F, foggy sky, soggy ground, light breeze, but not warm enough to get people outside (snow predicted) so it was very peaceful, uneventful

Okay, really deep requiring some additional thought and quite frankly ill-equipped to comment just now. So, let me move once again into my arrested development mindset with a response to “yard dogs who yap through fences” - do you ever think about what they are saying. Stay out of my yard, or come in and play with me because I am so lonely. Or, heard any good doggy gossip lately. Let me tell you what the scuttlebutt in the neighborhood is right now. Or even, gee your fur smells terrific. I can smell it from all the way through the fence. Guess I am more in a non-sensical mood today but will revisit your profound musings later. GW, Brady, Tx.
