This sore back (ouch) of mine is caused by not enough exercise, sloppy posture, a belly and carrying too much weight.
My excuses are not valid – they don’t come close to being reasons. Every time I skip a gym visit or don’t get on a bike is a message to my own body and brain that it isn’t important enough to me to do something about.
But it is important.
Often in sales coaching we use an ‘accountability partner’ method to keep ourselves on track – because someone is regularly checking in on you, as you are on them, to make sure you remain focused on the goals …
I need that.
Meanwhile, there is hope in ‘slightly milder temperatures’ ahead – and getting the bike out daily and doing several long rides a week is the plan.
