The pull/tug conundrum – do things we want to do, vis-à-vis things we ought to (or not) do.
Value and principles are clear in our minds in a vacuum. That’s easy, but mix in circumstance, mix in wishes and needs of others and you’ve suddenly got a complex recipe. I wonder how many relationships flow smoothly with these complexities compared with stumbles and crumbling?
If we all wore a gauge on our sleeves, device that lit up green when we’re calm, true to ourselves and genuinely deeply happy. There could be a colour range, bright red meaning opposite of green. The obvious, we would all be in the middle somewhere.
Makes me wonder if we should all change or simply start wearing gauges?
Or, should we make everything soft blue and play soothing music all night long?
