A SNOWY WAY
Sunday, April 18, 2021 - daily column #6732
Weekend of work, self-imposed/procrastinated, unlikely I’ll complete today.
I have great expectations …
Being anti-social, head down/butt up, necessary from time to time, and so much easier on any snowy day.
Snowy today, contrasting the last two days of gloriously sunny and warm – walks ditched, long bike rides instead (I’m saddle sore and sitting on a cushion), appreciating the arrival of new growth in Fish Creek Park. Birds everywhere, and no doubt there are countless newborn critters nestled in those massive patches of deep dry grasses.
The volume of people outside for a Friday and Saturday was just overwhelming compared to recent weeks; it’s as if cyclists, day-user/picnic spots, walkers and runners – have exploded, as billions of buds on trees will be doing any day now.
Now I’ll be head down, adjust cushion, write on …
