Little things pick me up.
Someone writes, just to connect.
Someone calls who didn’t need to call.
Someone makes a decision, something moves ahead.
Someone agrees to consider something they had not been thinking about.
Little things lift me higher than big things ever did. Not saying large gestures are unwelcome or undesirable – but when life changes as it has, small kindnesses matter more. Little things, monumental treasures.
