In my morning ritual file – I look at that collection of things every day for inspiration and reflection to remind me where I’ve been and help me stay focused on where I’m going. In that file, I have some reminders of a very significant project I worked on, partly for its importance and validation – but also to remember the lessons of the work and the value of my counterparty, my friend Barry. On April 1st, three years ago, he died, and I miss him a lot for his advice and friendship. So every morning, I am reminded of my friend Barry – remembering him as a big brother. Three years ago today, I was on a plane to Vancouver to attend his funeral on April 3rd.
I don’t know what sibling relationships are like – having no siblings – but if I had a big brother, I’d want him to be like Barry.
Yup! You nailed it once again, my friend, writing such meaningful prose! I hope your heart is giving and getting those life filling vibes!, SF, Lethbridge, AB
