TAKE A LITTLE TIME

Little things become big things.
Unattended cuts/sores, toothaches, chipped dishes, crumbling sidewalks or leaky rooves – become bigger problems when ignored.
Incrementalism has its place, though, in little things.
Each time we pet dogs, say hello to strangers, help a friend, or ‘like’ something we’ve read, impact manifests. Impact on the person you extended yourself to and on yourself – doubles the benefit every time.
Every time might be a mild exaggeration, but try this for a day or two, and you might surprise yourself.
Daily habits are like that too. Washing dishes, making beds and taking trash out have cumulative benefits on how we live and feel, and I think everyone understands that, but what about that upbeat book you read a bit of every day? What about the positive steps/processes/routines you do every day?
No gimmickry; this works.
Try it every day, never miss twice, try it – you’ll transform yourself. Don’t be surprised if you have some unexpected impacts on others because you will.
Someone once wrote that we reap what we sow. We harvest crops we plant, but gardeners and farmers will attest that unplanted crops never lead to a harvest.
So what can we do?
In tough times when struggling hard, we say, “I don’t have time.”
We struggle too, in good times, to find time because we are too busy being busy; we say, “I don’t have time.”
We keep so busy taking care of ourselves, our important loved ones, our careers, and our businesses take up so much time that it’s so easy not to make time available, but taking care of our needs has never mattered more.
