BEFORE DAWN THEORY
Monday Aug. 28, 2017
Some things that don’t keep me up at night, but make me wonder:
Before everything, was there something?
And where was it?
Before beginning of everything, did that big bang really make a noise?
If there had been someone (or a recording device), would they have heard a big bang?
Before today, our lives have been filled with mostly forgettable yesterdays, punctuated with unforgettable outstanding ones too.
Our current ‘yesterday’ was just another yesterday.
For each of us however, yesterday(s) prepares us for today.
Are you ready – when dawn heralds today’s arrival, are you prepared?
If we aren’t ready, time is short – when we finish this day, what are we packing for our overnight journey into tomorrow?
Are we filling our backpack with fireworks or boulders? Survival gear or whining? Beliefs or hatred? Positive confident affirmations or negativity? Disbelief, or hope?
Work your day – go ahead, spend your energy and invest your time – but before this day is done you’ll be packing up, getting ready for tomorrow. What are you carrying forward on the journey to tomorrow. Do it before dark so it will be with you, ready and able to help you before your next dawn.
It’s still true, we’ll never harvest apples from a pear tree. We live in specifics. We’ll harvest more of something in life if we set high expectations of what we can accomplish. The more we stretch, the more we reach. The more we reach, the better we grasp the ripest fruit at to the top of any tree.
Whatever we reach for or stretch for, it really helps if we get an early start.
