TWO IS A TEAM
Wednesday Aug. 10, 2016
Harnessing any team, like horses – easy concept to understand, but how about harnessing ourselves? Can we do this? We know that cliché ‘there is no I in team’, but what could we do with a team that we could never do without a team? More ideas, more people – making good ideas, refining plans, zeal, creating – right?
My tendency – keep close, keep private – protecting, nurturing ‘idea’, not sharing with critics who might undermine, steal or squash ‘idea’ before it develops into ‘something’.
Yesterday a team was formed – two guys, an idea. Big rock, pushing up a steep hill – four shoulders, eight arms and legs. We’ll need more people, many more arms, legs and shoulders. It’s a great start. Two is a team. We’ll add more horses.
Do-ya-wanna make your great untried idea into a spectacular adventure? Build a team.
There is no magic to having great ideas – they are everywhere. The magic, to make something spectacular, can be managed as a solitary activity. Happens all the time, but most often the best things happen – and happen faster, when there is a team involved. Start with a small one …
