SOME THINGS TAKE LONGER
Wednesday Aug. 20, 2014
Work this week could best be described as stay-cation interruptus but it’s all good. Lots of little things falling by the wayside, progress on things I’m most focused on (oh by golly .. that works!)
Leap of faith.
In oneself, at any life-stage, that leap can’t be any scarier than it ever was for any bird leaving its nest for the first time – we need to trust we can fly (of course we can, as can that bird), and realize the flying isn’t our task or our destination, but simply our means of transportation.
Commitment to anything, or anyone, must begin with a stirring belief it is right, real and ready – or rather, that we are ready for it. If we are not ready, we must do anyway … and let the ready catch up with us.
Are we in tune, aligned, lined up, on focus, on task, on purpose? Are we living on purpose with distractions minimized has become a daily goal? I’m working on that – a ritual in the making so to speak.
I can’t say I have it mastered yet, but I’m working on it.

morning walk: 13C / 56F, another rainy day prediction – half-clear sky is brooding, strong north breeze reminds me fall is on its way (as is patches of yellow leaves here and there weren’t painful enough reminders); Gusta wandered, did her thing – my mind wandered, planning my day in my head ..
