ENJOY THIS DAWG-GONE WEEKEND
Friday, August 21, 2020
Have a slice of watermelon, go on a picnic, or take a drive in the country, of any country – get out of the city, out of the traffic, out of 6’ apart space into the wild wide-open space.
These dawg days of a summer half gone, the sun comes up later and goes down sooner, just in tiny bits, but we know where this is heading …
Our fall and winter will be one of discontent, health-anxiety and all other season things like the flu, Christmas shopping, and year-end planning hinged to next year’s budgeting – that landscape is being marred by the virus, politics, political scandal, elections, possible elections, and election talking-heads talking way too long for anyone’s good.
This life, yours and mine, need to disconnect from days full of statistics, polls, and bad, sad stories.
We need to enjoy this tail-end of our summer heatwave, get ready for our glorious autumn – enjoy the green grass and blue sky.
The world may be beating itself up, beaten-up by a virus on the one hand, and beaten-down by political miss-handling issues on the other, and it’s wearying.
