HARVEST TIME
Friday Aug. 26, 2016
Plant peas or beans in soil – they grow. Time of year, soil quality, moisture, sunshine variables – still, most of us could do that without training, without text books.
If I plant a piece of paper in soil in springtime, water it daily, there will be no fall harvest, no book.
I understand the sculptor, painter and dancer – the create something from something, display shapes and images the manufacture. We see, or imagine, movement of physicality, and if they are good we feel movement of emotions.
Back to that piece of paper.
I’ll pull it from the soil, brush it off and smooth it out on my desk. What then?
Paper alone possesses no energy, no talent for instructing, informing or infatuating …
What can I do, what have I done?
Write.
Water daily.
Fingers?
Crossed …

morning walk with Gusta: 10C/50F, clear, light breeze and crabapple trees are bending low (means we’ll have deer sightings soon), Gusta seems to be feeling better and I’m a little lighter on my feet … staycation’s final days are so relaxing
