MOMENTUM IS NOT A WORD FOR MORE

Thursday Aug. 27, 2015

Cannot imagine life having a happy ending. I’ll continue in pursuit of a prolonged very pleasant momentum filled middle. It’s about movement. Another. Another. We need move things. Bodies, lean into, apply to tasks. Shoulders groan. First we need move things in our mind, with our mind. Then another. Another. Don’t quit. Another. It hurts. Yes it’s hard. Don’t slow down. Another.

See, you’re on a roll now.

morning walk:  13C/55F, smoke-covered sky still/continues (hopefully predicted showers this afternoon will help clear the air; Gusta wanted to romp and I wanted to hobble a short distance (ankle vs. ice vs. Tylenol) so we did it my way …

Reader feedback:

JOB ONE

True friends are a good investment (and surely the opposite is equally true). In this age of social media our internet contacts can accumulate exponentially. I have an acquaintance who felt the urge to purge, so he performed what he called a “Frenema” where he got rid of virtual “friends” (where neither party was investing in the other). Hopefully I would make the cut (with you!). KK, Calgary AB

WOW … Hi  Mark  The inspiration of the day is just what I needed.   I Thank you. Families fall apart and that does not mean we have failed as parents, at least this is how I interpret it.  As was stated we can not change anyone but ourselves. Changing ourselves may not fix the relationship but can make one feel that they have tried. ~~ "Life is full of challenges.  Challenges and hardships oftentimes are the intense heat and fire that break us open to discover gifts, talents, and capacities that are lying within us."  Michael Beckwith ~~. Have yourself a wonderful day, SB, Calgary, AB

CONFOUNDED

Our offspring - reading your musing about your estranged daughter and those who wrote saying they are experiencing the same, reminds that I should be grateful everyday for my children who still make time to call or visit even though their lives are very busy. We do forget sometimes that this is not a given. We don't realize that behind closed doors many are hurting for one reason or another, CB, Cobourg, ON
