TASTE MY ART
Friday Aug. 29, 2014

It is, some would say, all a matter of taste.

Personal preference, no right answer, just a rainbow of choices.

Some splash it, some spray.

On walls, every day, some weave a tapestry – while others wind twine of others to make a rope, spiders just weave webs.

Isn’t waking up and making your way through the day an art form?

What did you draw upon, what did you shape, what did you carve or sculpt today? We are all chipping away, out life a big block of stone – just to reveal who we really are, in human form – marble hard, features fine, beautiful. Just simply beautiful, our every irregularity and imperfection put on display every day, everywhere we go is our museum, every day we are its feature exhibit.

Consider, if your life is a piece of art – a painting for instance – would it be fine art, great art, enviable inspiring creativity?

Or is it more like a child’s finger painting … ?

We are all an outward manifestation of who we are inside, aren’t we?

If we are cloudy and brooding on the outside, won’t it show in our painting? If we are joyful and thrilled at life, won’t that show too? Conflicted? Ashamed? Elated? Triumphant? They’ll all show in our self-portrait, won’t they?

When you walk into the office today, or stroll down a mall, pick up dry-cleaning or shop the farmers’ markets … your work is on display. So is mine.

All our life, never wanted the sign to say, ‘exhibit closed’.

So, we must stay open for business, open to the business of artistry in what we do.

morning walk: 6C/43F(time to unpack my mittens), a few dusty clouds, beautiful sunrise – there is nothing out of the ordinary – and the ordinary was great. Gusta had her morning constitutional and I had my gym workout after .. a perfect start.

PATHFINDER FOUND
Well done Mark. Another interesting and inspiring, thought provoking article. PS Thanks for the card you wrote to me about creating and populating a database. I needed a cryptologist to decipher your writing – it’s a good thing you type your articles – all the same time, well spent on my part reading your missive. Nice to hear from you and very much appreciated, RT, Vancouver, BC

Hurrah for you Mark … your new Pathfinder for your new “path”, BR, Calgary, AB

Congratulations on your new wheels!  May your new paths be found to be wonderfully delightful and insightful!  GW, Bon Wier, Tx.

Each of us must find our own path; congrats on finding the Pathfinder. KK, Calgary AB
