EVERYTHING IS A LESSON

Complicated solution searching for appropriate problem, or am I complex problem, unable to find my solution?
Most days, it seems an easier task to hack through life’s jungle rather than debate why I’m hacking along some dense risky path.
Am I living a quality example of some wonderful well-ordered purposeful life?
If I am, wow! Great. I should be giving advice to everyone …
But when I’m feeling not so proud, as sure assured and clear – what then? Does that mean we are flawed or are we seeking an answer that hasn’t quite yet surfaced …
Not much to learn from every little thing, if we aren’t looking.
When we are looking, if we want to learn a lot then there is a lot to learn from everything.
I’m reminded of this comment by Nora Ephron: “everything is copy”, a lesson drilled into her by her parents. Aside from stories to tell, I think a modified version of this quote fits quite well, “everything is a lesson” in what to do, or not do, in how to be, or not be …
Too much ‘past’ to ‘start over’ or re-find myself. Forward, my only gear, moving one day’s distance daily – searching out something undefined, unrefined, unique and pure of purpose, clear of thought.
No other way to go but to adventure down forked road. The signs: Herd, or Free Thinkers. No double which fork I’ve taken.
Any path takes us anywhere we want to go – it’s not about the destination. It’s whether we do anything worthwhile on this journey.
How about you there – are you on your path or just hacking away?
