DO THE MATH

Life is a one-day at a time experience for every child, no matter what our age. One day at a time is not just a mantra for us alcoholics; it ought to be the bumper sticker on everyone’s behind.
70 X 365 + 1
I write every day. I write what I’m thinking, I write down my emotional state – I reflect on what is going on in my life without telling the details. It’s not to be clever or coy, but rather to set clear boundaries between what is my information to disclose and what is not – because often it’s someone else’s information, and I don’t have the right to write that …
So it’s tricky.
It’s like holding up a photo of me and others with their photos smudged out. Suffice to say, I’m full to nearly bursting with some news. I can’t let it out, and I can’t keep it in.
Yesterday was a fantastic day – many thanks to SB for the best question: what would you like to do for your birthday? The trip to the Majorville Medicine Wheel was a long-overdue revisit. What a treasure! To all those who sent notes and posts yesterday on LinkedIn and Facebook to wish me a happy b-day – thanks so much for your kind wishes.

I checked out your horoscope this morning and it seems you're in for an excellent year. Of course the bar has been set rather low of late and I've not yet seen a birthday horoscope that suggested you pack it in. That being said, I wish you much happiness, good health, and whatever makes you smile in the year ahead and years to come. Well done, chico, CB, Calgary, AB
