WANT v. NEED
Thursday Dec. 14, 2017
When we decide what to do next – now or never seems as unlikely as staring out windows in search of an epiphany hidden between cracks of every waking moment.
What are we wanting and when did we start wanting that, why are we wanting that and who influenced us to want what we want?
What drives decision making?
Many studies, books, experts – all seem to point to ‘it doesn’t always make sense’.
When I’m lonely, I want company.
When I’m sad, I want comfort.
When I’m excited, I want an audience.
When I’m empty, I want to be filled.
Of all we want, what do we really need – what is essential to our well-being and healthy spirit?
Do we all have different answers, or exactly the same needs?
Are we all the same, or all different?
