A DREAM WITHOUT A PLAN IS A NIGHTMARE
Monday, December 13, 2021
It’s December.
I know you know that.
It’s our month to slow down at work (except caterers, retailers, party planners), speed up (shopping, wrapping, partying) and become more social, laid-back, happy people before we resume whatever form of self-imprisonment we’ve built for ourselves.
I know you know that too.
It’s a month for figuring out what to do next year – the plan, the strategy, the ‘to do’ lists, the visits to the gym, the diet, the resolutions to improve our life, boost our income, reduce our expenses and ‘have a life.’
I know you know that too.
I’ve been going through all those notions and emotions too, and it’s likely that you are too.
Over the last few months, I’ve been mentoring/helping a younger colleague who is new to the real estate industry. I’ve been offering him some reading and listing suggestions to help him plan his work to build a sustainable business and not work 80 hours a week, 7-days a week, to get it.
It’s fun and smart, I think, to review such things before passing them on to anyone else – and I’ve found re-watching these inspiring and refreshing, so I’ll share them with you too. Check out these:

Mark, I've been getting your daily musing for a long long time. Did you start this when you quit drinking? Your YouTube video reminds me of when I quit smoking. Which I think was the hardest thing I've ever done I quit drinking coffee at the same time. The last time I quit, I was in Hawaii, that was maybe the fourth of fifth time I quit. Just before my 50th birthday. I had only given myself one way out, if I got terminal cancer then I would start again. That lasted another 10 years after I had quit for the last time before that also went away. I'm better sure that I'm over that now. Alcohol doesn't affect me much. There is a part of my brain that it doesn't effect. Ergo I was always the one driving my friends and in-laws home from the bar or parties. But I get that. It's a way of coping for some people. I'm happy that you found a way out of that method and dealt with your problems, rather than masking them. Maybe going through insolvency showed you the right way....... Take Care, PS, Calgary, AB
