EARLY TO ACTUATE
Tuesday, December 14, 2021
When thoughts are upbeat, life-affirming, and pro-active, great, however, if my thoughts trend down-flowing negative/pessimist, it’s best to turn on the radio or TV and play some music to wake the birds.
Early morning solitude is the best – or the worst of times.
Solitude – blackness and silence outside, silence and privacy inside; alone time, private time, for thoughts to roam in my head like my skull is a pinball machine.
My challenge with any meditative process is the quiet, uninterrupted time. I’ve found having a starting point – something to read, a ‘starting prompt’ laid out the night before is helpful for focus before the minutia flies in (usually all my tasks for the day ahead), so I find a clean slate/clean table approach helps me focus.
What progresses your start, from drawing board to starting gun?
And, to Alberta residents only: THIRD ACTion Film Festival is doing a 50/50 raffle again – buy a ticket, be a winner + make the pot richer, for a great cause – draw date is Dec. 22nd.
