SIMPLIFY SOME MORE

Saturday Dec. 17, 2016

I’ve written about this ‘my mind is on simplification’ from a variety of angles before – and again recently, but for me the ‘state of my mind’ is clearer, but not yet completely clear. This work in progress continues …

Are you complicate-or simplify-er?

We can take a million actions, tens of thousands of decisions, set many hundreds of goals – have a plan, strategize, do SWOT analysis till we are dizzy …

Why? To figure out ‘our next move’. We don’t usually do it like we are inventing that magnificent billion-dollar-making next new thing. We tend, I think, to make most of our next moves of the next hour, day, week, month – take your pick, without thinking at all. Some of that is just mindless/simplified elimination of decisions as we go zombie-like through our daily routine.

But, what if?

What if what?

What if we streamlined (and eliminated a few) of those mindless things – make our day simpler? Or maybe just our morning.

Imagine this – a three hour interruption-free period to think, work, play, invent, daydream … whatever you want. What could you do with that block of time? One, great. Twice, fantastic. Every day – oh my, maybe we could start something extremely interesting …
