CONCRETE VIEWS

Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019

Wet cement, hardened, permanent, and cannot be changed with anything less powerful than a jackhammer.

Some things that change us change our landscape – or change our viewpoint, happen quickly.

Some, not so fast …

The ‘not so fast’ process is how most of us change (though we don’t change much) and why most of us don’t change (because concrete views ~ like concrete ~  need to time to set, time to cure) as our brains which were once malleable around an idea, issue, or feeling become rock-solid. Immovable.

Moments, people, and perspective trump the jackhammer; not often, but when they do, there is no limit on the scope or breadth of change to follow.

By the way, you could wait until new year’s day to make resolutions, to make change, to improve your life – or you could get a head start. Start now. Start with a better diet, more sleep, and an improved exercise program, but before you do that – take a look at your concrete views and consider renting a jackhammer.
