EASY LISTENING
Saturday Feb. 10, 2018
I like Anne Lamott. I like her writing, but mostly I like her talking and writing about writing …
Somebody pointed me to her TEDtalk a couple of years ago, about 12 things she knows for sure –
I’ve listened to a few of her talks, and enjoyed her discussion about her book, Bird by Bird. Not about birds, it’s about writing.
I’ve found an audio-book version of Bird by Bird – six hours of great ear-candy for any writer.
And there is much about life, humour, child-rearing, difficulties and solutions for anyone without the need to be a writer. And, as an audio book, you don’t to be a reader. Mostly it’s easy listening except when it is extremely difficult – we have some issues in common. She’s worth a sixteen minutes, she’s worth six hours too …

REST, BUT NOT FOR LONG
Today is a Hygge kind of day. Sometimes the snow It is February, the slow fluffy stuff gives us pause - an opportunity to recharge.
