GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES
Monday Feb. 12, 2018
We knows this term – starts races.
Noise. Excitement. Danger, speed, cunning, split-second calculations. Car and driver facing life/death consequences at every turn.
Any better metaphor for life?
For Monday morning?
Starting engines, each morning we enter, re-enter and continue racing for some checkered flag telling us we’ve won the day. Then look ahead to the next day, next race.
But, it’s a long race, be the pace car – set tempo, then let others roar ahead without regard to crashes and smashes – instead, stay safe, play safe out of harm’s way.
Or, steady pace, safe, in control – pressing had against every obstacle, thoughtless and brash, ready to smash into anything, impetuous children in sandboxes?
So which is it for you?
It’s Monday morning – make a decision, what kind of week you want.
Ladies, gentlemen, start your engines!
