EVERY BODY EVERY DAY
Friday Feb. 13, 2015
Many thanks.
To those who made my yesterday so memorable, and to those who will make today extraordinary. Every day is for celebration, surviving, thriving, patience and joy, plotting happiness. Shooting off bravely on exciting journeys …
If you share these thoughts, look in the mirror – you see the responsible party.
If you don’t share these thoughts, look in the mirror – you see the responsible party.
I ask friends or strangers how they are – as greeting, to open conversation and more often to genuinely drill-down in search of: ‘how are you doing?’ … I get this reply often: “fine”.
Not everyone is fine.
Most everyone is NOT fine. Silly social conventions, not wanting to reveal difficulties or pain, minimizing our reality.
Disguises reality.
Not that someone saying: “I’m fantastic” all the time is reality either.
I’m not fine.
Yet have little complaint …
I am fantastic.
Not in every way about everything.
Lately delightful things have been happening. More regularity than I’ve experienced in a long time, internal changes grinding away, but mostly – I know with certainty – it is mindset shift, brewing better every day.
Every day, things tip more toward fantastic, more away from fine, more away from pretending to not having to pretend. Away from gritting teeth through difficulty to having fewer difficulties.
Seeing fewer things as difficulties, seeing more things as opportunities.
Feeling so lucky to be who I am, when I and where I am in my life.
Today feels unlucky or sad for some.
Not everyone has their best days on the same day, ever.
Not everyone has their tragedy and pain on the same day either.

morning walk: 1C/36F, calm and clear, slick walks proved treacherous so we ground it out on gritty streets; beautiful start to a beautiful day starting … Gusta bemused, albeit briefly, by slick sidewalks she couldn’t manage despite her studded paws.
