Dia de Amistad
Wednesday Feb. 14, 2018
A friend says, in Mexico they don’t celebrate Valentine’s as Hallmark intended. They celebrate Dia de Amistad (friendship day). We can/ought to wish caring thoughts upon friends, on family. Even nicer thoughts for foes, failed-conquests and ex’s …
Seriously, this is a day about love and loving, about relationships going right – and whether you are in Mexico or right next door, let me wish you an extraordinarily nice dia!
At a meeting last week I was Table Topics Master, posing questions to speakers about their ‘best’ and ‘worst’ Valentine’s experiences, cleverly avoiding personal disclosures.
Reminiscing, it seems like a Julio Iglesias moment; I prefer his ‘with Willie Nelson’ version.
Remembering last year. What contrast, and I don’t just mean the weather …
Have a nice dia.
I’ll be watching, just in case Miss Opportunity comes by.
