Opportunities land on our doorstep, fall into our lap – flitting like summertime insects, we swat many away as annoyances, toss some in trash bins because they’re ‘in our way’.
What should we do with them – even if ‘just that few minutes’ spent before dismissing them?
Sometimes they land in the ‘think about it some more’ pile.
I had one of those moments recently – along with my newspaper, a magazine. I carried through my morning routine – from front door, to exercise room, to breakfast table.
I read every page, clearly ideas worth examining. Might be nothing – or one of those legendary forks in the road that take us to some inevitable place without regard to which fork we took. The key is that we took one. Took a step, however tentative. We were on our way …
