SECOND GUESSING

Monday Feb. 26, 2018

Is my mess, my life, just a really crappy first draft?

If I could have back one-half of my bad decisions, one-half of my wrong turns, one-half of my wasteful spending, one-half of my blind-alley projects – I’d be rich.

But would any of us be happy if we could have back half of our bad decisions? We want more …

If we looked at everything on our agenda right now – just trash half, would that reduce our mistakes; no cherry-pickin’, just half – in the trash – because half will surely belong there anyway, because nobody hits a home-run every time?

If we spend too much time second guessing our first guesses we won’t have time for thirds and fourths. If we look ahead, look up and keep swinging, we are far more likely to hit our targets.

Reader feedback:

SOLITARY CONFINEMENT

And thus the number one health concern for North American adults has become.... loneliness. May we all find companions, all of us lonely ones. Keep on keeping on, Mark. Hope this day brings smiles, JB, Edmonton, AB
