Not talking about being an early v. late adopter of new things – but about the quality of focus on one thing causing us to miss obvious things right in front of us.
I get so immersed in what I’m doing, thinking, working on – that something massive and important could be going on right before my eyes – I wouldn’t notice. It’s like the ‘basketball awareness test’.
I’m confident this recognition of obliviousness is a good thing; recognition of growing brain power rather than diminishing capability …
