At first thought, seems an easy statement to make, easy question to answer …
What’s your first thought? Second?
Can you fill in that blank?
Can we define, or limit, that answer – can it be person, place, things, experience, trips/journeys, struggles; can it be steps, trails, ladders?
Where is value in things that don’t last, experiences that fade, ideals that fall by the wayside? Sure, there is value in them, but once you’ve had them they become ‘frozen’ in terms of shape, size and location – they aren’t dynamic, they don’t change.
But conversation – those change and replay and reinvent themselves every time words leave our lips or fingertips … ah, that’s what I want. Lips and finger tips, and all things that they do.
