Frenetic, keeps fast pace, running hard – this ‘human race’, often lagging behind; younger, stronger and fitter specimens racing past – as I used to race past others. Still, accomplishing more each year.
Taking on less (theory), doing more (reality) with it. Life tastes delicious, energized like I was thirty years younger – which I’m not!
Maybe experience, time-management techniques, little things give me a slight edge … still, rest is required. Resting body, fuels tomorrow – let’s creative non-conscious focus future fantasticalitiy.
At rest, in a mid-day chair, mid-day nap or just sleeping in on a Sunday morning. At rest, like fasting for a day.At rest, like reading on the couch or just hanging around with no tasks to perform, no deadlines to meet, no need for ‘figuring anything out today’, just a day of rest.
Slowdown is not shutdown … it’s involuntary. Getting older, heavier (working on that!), slower – but rest? That’s a conscious choice.
Body at rest … Newton was talking physics.
I’m talkinghuman body.
Know it well – I live here, inhabit this body or work …
