‘Living in interesting times’, is a great term to describe life and a rather scary one these days.
I was watching some news coverage this past weekend on Europe, about the Brexit issue in particular, and found the general situation – not just in Britain, but throughout Eurpope to be quite bizarre and scary for the whole planet. Looking southward to our American friends who are ‘enjoying’ interesting times too, I feel a bit left out as a Canadian where we have this ‘sidelines’ view and everyone sees us as a safe calm place on these sidelines of world power and influence, peacekeepers and peace makers, who rarely rattle our sabres or get into the role of Lead Actor, because we always play our supporting role the best.
