NO END IN SIGHT

Wednesday Jan. 30, 2019

Some days start sunny, some dark. I don’t mean the weather.

Some days start flat. I don’t mean depressed but rather being horizontal, covered by down duvet with too much agenda …

I recently published my 5,804th consecutive daily Musing column: IF I WASN’T ME and, because it was a Monday, I also published MONDAY MORNING MINUTE - 100 Words + a quote. Rising from beneath my cozy duvet I found warm kind supportive appreciative messages. It wasn’t a blue-Monday at all. Suddenly it was a glorious one.

It was powerful and I noticed. I noticed my body seemed lighter on its feet though it appears my diet isn’t working that well. I felt light headed and clear-minded all at the same time.

There is a peculiar feeling associated with feeling supported. It’s not physical, but it could be, because its power lifts you – as it lifted me. It could be part flame because it seems to ignite a fire within as opposed to under me. It could be part drug, because it feels heady. I could be part gun-shot, like the starter’s gun to commence my next race – and I feel ‘off and running’, unsure if this trot will become a sprint or marathon. Not sure it matters, but I’m running.

I am indebted to many who’ve helped, prodded and poked me. Those who did two days ago put lift under my wings – as has the faithful following of many over these many years.

I don’t know if I’ll soar like eagles or float like hot-air balloons, but I know this flight will be uplifting.

Journey without an end …

Reader feedback:

IF I WASN’T ME

I enjoy your Musings Mark and glad to hear a bit more of your story.  Let’s have that much postponed coffee soon. Have you seen the movie, Bohemian Rhapsody or the movie “The Mule”? I highly recommend them both and in The Mule I want you to listen carefully to the words of the song “Don’t Let The Old Man In”, GB, Calgary, AB

I think you just wrote the prologue to your Musings compilations book. That was 5 minutes well and truly spent and the best read I’ve had in many days. Thank you. RH, Calgary, AB

Morning Mark! I am really enjoying your Monday Morning Minute.  How are things in your world? We are VERY busy at Distress Centre. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of Calgarians are in distress or crisis. Fortunately, we are here for them 24/7, DJK, Calgary, AB
