Too much urgency in every week’s work, not taking into account the cold leftovers that were piled up, undone, or incomplete last Friday. And that also doesn’t account for every problem that exploded this weekend. Maybe it’s better to go back to bed, hide under the covers, and everything will be better tomorrow.
Wait, no, that won’t work.
Monday needs you – to start things, to finish something, to clean up the mess of leftovers – because we do get a second chance at wasted Mondays; they are called Tuesdays.
Monday morning freshness arrives unaccompanied by blank canvases, adequate time or sufficient budget to start the week. Monday morning is a treadmill already running. We must jump on and go hard – there is no time to warm up, limber up, or tune up.
Ladies, gentlemen, start your engines.
