DEFERRED DATABASE MAINTENANCE
Tuesday, January 4, 2022

Have you scrolled your database lately – or cellphone contact list, only to find names you don’t recognize or cannot recall?

In business databases, that can happen, but given how often we replace phones, we are more often reminded of who is on that list.

Do you remember all those people?

Deleting a few now and then in terms of scrubbing our database is good practice. Sometimes, that makes me question my short-term memory. More importantly, a reminder to stay in touch with my most essential peeps. And yes, if they are in our database and we are in touch, we won’t have outdated or deceased contacts in there.

I recognize, given my age, that my head is full of too much data. It needs to be scrubbed a bit. That’s my story. I’m sticking to it.

SO, BEGIN ALREADY …

I see you continue to hold a hint of optimism despite the harsh reality of this virus. I, too, hold onto hope even as we struggle to find a "new normal". Here's my take on 2022.  https://jmaydaze.com/2022/01/01/cautiously-optimistic/ Happy New Year, Mark, JM, Seattle, WA
