Time, the only thing we have – and when you think about it, we have complete control over it.
Might seem like we all sleep at the same time, drive to work at the same time, shop at the same time, eat at the same time and play at the same time as everyone does, but we ARE making choices.
For every hour, every day, we have control. But so few take control, so few manage their time in a deliberate way. Imagine, of all things in life – if the one thing you took more control over was your time, how different would life look?
Quick answer for many would be ‘not much’.
Think more, think longer, think more deeply about what gives you joy in life – and realize the decision of what to do and when to do it is 100% ours. Sure, the boss has some say. But who chose that boss? Who chooses where we work, where we live and how we live?
Choice covers a wide spectrum, but the most powerful spectrum of choice, the most empowering, is deciding how to spend time – and what to spend it on.
Whatever time we don’t spend usefully and purposefully every day is simply wasted, never recovered.
We know that, right?
No carry forwards.
Time is not a savings account. We cannot deposit or withdraw at will.
