HEART PUMPED
Saturday July 11, 2015
He calls it a scramble, but it sure sounds like climbing to me.
This morning I’m heading off to climb a mountain with AK.
This will be my second mountain. His first since he had back surgery two years ago.
I’ve previously climbed Dale’s mountain – with AK and Dale Auger – about ten years ago.
I know I’m in good hands with a capable guide.
I’ve got my gear, packed some snacks, ready … set. Go.
I’m nervous. Not so much about the climb itself, more nervous about bears. I’m in good hands with an experienced guide. Hopefully those bears will have other business to attend to …
I don’t have to do anything. I CAN do anything!
Not anything. Anything I’m capable of that I want to do, that I’m committed to doing.
Pumped.
Ready.
Go.
