LISTEN FOR CHANGE

Tuesday July 16, 2019

Easily and often we miss importance of listening for change.

With friends, customers and family – listening matters, creates opportunities to know and serve others, to deliver value.

Change brings opportunity to create value, to be useful and to be helpful. Change, no matter how good or welcome, brings disruption.

Often we are near change happening; neither announced or seen, but change happening nonetheless. Slow, subtle or abrupt, change shakes and shapes us.

Outward gestures or loud announcements are unlikely – because change might not look large, feel large or be ready for telling yet, or at all, or ever.

Look for a change, look for change and listen for change. There is value in taking time to look – into mirrors, or someone’s eyes – look deep, looking often, knowing we’ll see change if we are listening for it.

Reader feedback:

POINT OF VIEW DOES NOT MEAN PERSPECTIVE
Very interesting musing, Mark- that is quite the challenging and innovative exercise. It would be insightful and thought provoking. However, I think if you are blind and deaf to a side of yourself, you won't find it without it being pointed out to you by someone else. Then you may have to consider it. Good luck with, RT, White Rock, BC
