YES WE ARE
… what we think about
Sunday July 27, 2014
We’ve heard clichés, how we make our lives , what we think about, what we focus on:
“We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.” – Buddha
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” – Aristotle
Coming home – unpacking, laundry, catching up, mail, newspapers (thanks LC for gathering them while I was gone), organizing today, tomorrow, trying to book my car in for servicing.
I missed my usual week of freneticism (made-up word).
Like you miss a toothache.
I’m expecting just as much to do, that needs doing.
But I’m feeling better equipped with new focus-tools, to make a bigger wedge in my pie-chart – so I’ll have more time for a life within my life.
Sounds like wishful thinking of a chronic workaholic.
Hey, I’ve had a week of therapy …
Is there a lot more un-tapped potential in all of us?
Most people I know would agree with that statement.
We it be alright with you if ….
If I explored YOU a little with a FEW questions?
No need to respond, but maybe just a few things to think about that might make your day interesting . . .
If you visualize goals, do they seem further away?
Or closer?
If you show an attitude of gratitude, will people notice? Will you?
If you embrace new ideas are you more committed, and likely to succeed, than if you simply read about it, hear about it, think about it . . . ?
Well, think about it!
Repeat daily.

morning walk: 15C/59F, brilliant clear morning – hot air balloons in abundance; après-walk and après-gym I went to the kennel to collect Gusta who seemed very happy to see me, and very reluctant to leave her kennel-mates
