MY TUB HAS A POINT TO IT
Wednesday July 8, 2015
I’ve been taking time, daily tub-soak-time.
Sometimes very short.
Sometimes toe-wrinkling long.
Not like Archimedes, to discover some great science truth (just imagine how good that felt for him!) , but for putting a few quiet minutes together – reading, thinking or just relaxing in that warm private space …
This rolled around in my brain this morning:
Do what you want. Do whatever you want. Do what pleases you. Do what creates value, pleasure and validation in your life – or in someone else’s, but first, middle and last, make it something you want to do.
When life is tallied – when scores are announced, what satisfaction is there I having a very large total of ‘doing things you don’t want to do’ if the tally of ‘doing things you really want to do’ is not much larger?

morning walk: 14C/58F, blazing sunrise was amazing (forest fire smoke in the air produces amazing images), walking late (last evening I walked 18 holes – first time without a cart since I hurt my foot – so I’m a tad creaky. Not sure if it’s the walk, or over-swinging), Gusta seems happy back in her routine. So am I … happy, back in mine.
