CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGED
Saturday, June 11, 2022
How many times a day, throughout the day, do we pause to recalculate and rethink what to do in reaction to whatever just happened?
And what just happened might be a conversation, a call or email with new information, or breaking news of national or international importance. Or it might be that thought that flew in and took up a spot in the corner of our brain.
Most of us, most days, wake up to the same life we had when we went to bed.
Most of us change, but very little, and ever so over time.
We’ve seen it tough, whether in our orbit or something fictional on the large or small screen – when some event or new understanding changes everything.
We see the change in people from who they were before they got a wretched diagnosis and then after when they began to deal with their changed circumstances.
Circumstances are changing all the time – our challenge is what to filter out, what to let in, and when to allow a complete change in what we do today. Or tomorrow.
