Forward momentum. Birth to death path – we can only wait and watch.
Who has an easy path? With their foot on accelerator pushing faster over smooth pavement under sunny skies, who has cheering fans alongside bump-less road cheering?
None of us.
Who we are doesn’t matter to most people on this earth. Perhaps your think it should, or could, but it doesn’t.
Who we are matters to those we care about – a little. Not as much as we wish. Friends, colleagues, family, neighbours – they all care but not as much as we think they do, not as much as we wish they would, not in ways we would create those interactions if we are simply asked.
We’re never asked.
Who we are matters to only one person, only controlled by one person (even that is questionable), involves only one person.
If you aren’t satisfied, speak up – you ARE the complaint department, the complainant, the adjudicator and the jailer. Decide your prize, or punishment – the deliver it. Decide what you want. Carry it out. Accountability is only to yourself. Don’t worry about others. As I said, they mostly don’t care much.
And if you aren’t there yet – then this story isn’t over yet. Keep listening and watching, keep feeling each moment, feel the feeling, and one day you’ll own it all. You might be weary of your own self, but you’ll be transformed. You’ll have come through something marvelous – standing there, alone, happy and ready for today. Or maybe tomorrow you’ll be ready for ‘today’.
