It reminded me of the 2nd three most crucial elements in my work.
Everyone knows the 1st three most important, location, location, location.
But the 2nd triad is timing, timing, timing.
The other day, mid-afternoon, I looked out my home office window to see a coyote loping across the parking lot from north to south, a couple walking northward on that path, and again within a minute, a dog walker with a golden retriever. Start to finish, about three minutes.
Each walker was independent of one another, not connecting or colliding, just going about their business – and passing through the same space within a short time frame, each oblivious of the other, unaware of the near-confluence of all three in that place. It reminded me of watching a scene in a movie where each of the moving parts and characters was unaware of the whole story while I, the audience, saw it all …
