Sailing smoothly, straight through life on calm waters with gentle breeze always at our back, clear sunny skies by day, cloudless starry nights – what could possibly go wrong?
Seriously, what could be more unrealistic?
Hurt and hurting ain’t the same.
Belief and believing ain’t the same.
Faith and being faithful ain’t the same.
Thinking and philosophy ain’t the same.
Feeling and expressing feelings ain’t the same either.
If we planned to navigate only perfect routes to achieve no-risk perfect lives how could we learn to deal with imperfections and adversity?
However well you run your race – who are you helping with theirs?
