Concentration, focus – application of purpose (and their synonyms), great buzz-words in our culture.
But do we concentrate?
Do we focus?
What gets our time and energy each day, each week – is it anything on our ‘top five list’ of things to focus on?
I’ve been working on this lately with some modest improvement. I think I’m onto something …
Some things take energy from us, but things we love doing seem to generate energy – and whatever other ‘scheduled focus’ slips away quickly in favour of what energizes us. It happens all the time – midday, midweek and quite often mid-thought. Interesting to look back at day’s end, to examine what took our focus, what took our energy – and what GAVE US energy
When we let our activities stray, our path goes where we might never have dreamt.
