MAKE A LIST
Monday June 24, 2019
Once committed to some ~ something, project, career path, relationship (spouse, employer, friend, organization, sport), questions aren’t always welcome.
Answers often stuck in throats: “I’m not sure like I used to be sure”, or “I don’t think about it”, or “I worry about it all the time”.
Easiest to make three lists.
Smarter (and harder), make only one.
Rank by priority of importance.
With three lists (work, play, family), easy to put high preferences on top.
But with only one list you have to choose which is first, second, which is fifth or tenth.
No need to show your rankings to anyone, but looking at them yourself is both powerful and important.
You’ll like everything on your list, but you might not what your rankings tell, or ask, about what is going on in your life.
