Today will be the same as yesterday. Tomorrow will mirror today. Everything is planned or predictable, and if you believe that, I have some swamp land to sell …
We strive to plan and organize; we strategize to have things turn out the way we want – that’s managing our life and our work, but the notion we have any certainty is foolish, and if you believe that it can be figured out, go hire someone in a tent with a crystal ball …
Whether today or in the pre-Zoom era, we can use tools and the wisdom/history of others to guide us, but we should never presume there is certainty in anything.
At best, we can keep ourselves sharp, tuned in, and ready to react to changes coming our way – because they will, every day and too often, greet us upon our first in-box opening every morning, or they blast us from the front page while we sip our coffee. Zoom, zoom, zoom, and never presume!
