We all have bad habits – some are ‘doing things’ like eating too much, eating things which we’ve decided we shouldn’t eat; some are ‘failure to do things’ like failing to go to the gym, failure to stick with our diet, failure to stick with a project through to the end.
What gets in our way is widely varied – the better question is what can we do to prevent our own bad acts, what can we do to be better, smarter and more effective than we’ve been? I don’t think intellect is a factor at all.
It’s ‘having a strategy’ to get the result we want. If we have a strategy, maybe we should review it. If we don’t, maybe it’s time for a strategy. Maybe I need a personal trainer. Or, more likely, a personal jailer!
