EVERY STORY HAS ITS MOMENT

Telling stories is helpful.
Sometimes we relive the moment with some embellishment of what we said or did, sometimes burnishing our recollection of comments to retell the story as having been more poignant, or pithy or funny.
The point is not that we’ve lived our best experiences already, but that we can draw on them and spread our learning experience to others. It might be a story from last week or from thirty years ago – either way, it’s time travel, and you’ve got people along from the ride to re-experience your firsthand tale …

Well said. We must all step up to the plate and we need to keep our politicians focused. Many voices, cannot be ignored, LK, Calgary, AB
I agree. This is a horror. I also agree we cannot fix the past, but keep wondering why we don’t fix the present and/or the future. I believe it’s us not holding our leaders accountable. It’s very disturbing to me that this has been going on since the beginning of man. Even though I believe all humans are equal I note a lot of this has come at the hands of us white men (conquer the world) and know we are not the majority on this planet. I wonder, If we don’t get this “fixed” what fate awaits us. LH, Lethbridge, AB … P.S. I believe this is your longest column since I started reading Musings. Is it?
Leaving a legacy that makes a difference . Being mindful of our choices and their impact on us and others. Good for you for delivering on the tough stuff. Take care, JR, Calgary, AB
