RISK REWARD CYCLICAL

Monday, June 8, 2020

Figuring out future – year from now, or decade from now – requires:

  1. well-thought-out analysis of demand for goods and services, ‘case-study worthy’ plans, and execution of those plans
  2. brilliant ideas nobody else thought of or brought to market
  3. an opportunity that comes along, or that you create imaginatively, worth pursuing
  4. all the above
  5. none of them

Choosing seems scary.

It is.

Why would we hitch ourselves to a future laden with risk, reward, lumps, and potential disasters?

Isn’t the same true when we choose a career, school, job, partner, or spouse?

What these options have in common, is the making of and owning our decision – we get results, consequences, and glory-failure continuum of risk and reward. It appears real when it isn’t, and appears false when it is genuine – so vewwy confusing!

Reader feedback:

DOG GONE YEAR
Condolences Mark. The death of this relationship takes time to handle as with any other and, of course, it is brought back more to mind on an anniversary. Please don’t even think you had something to do with Gusta’s demise. I believe this is called unconditional love and includes being at the door, tail wagging, every time we come home. I believe all dog owners agree LH, Lethbridge, AB

Those words can ring no truer Mark. I've loved them all and dearly miss each of them that have come through my life. Enjoy your Sunday, JJ, Calgary, AB

From one dog lover to another....great post. They do own us, don’t they?  Woof!, GB, Waukesha, WI
