End of week, isn’t really the end of anything – nor is end of month, season or year. Datelines don’t stop anything, ends anything. Life, is just a continuation …
Seems we need deadlines, milestones and dates that tell us – much like hockey coach with whistles: stop, start, stop, start, stop, start. We didn’t need the words, just the whistle, and gear-laden little boys learned that discipline of stop and start. Traffic lights and stop signs reinforce that trigger as surely as Pavlov could make his dogs salivate, or make them docile.
Triggers for action. Triggers for inaction. Are we responding to triggers someone else put in place, or governing ourselves by our own? Do we know when to start? When to stop?
Sometimes, we need to take a day off to think about it. Bye-bye …
